Notes of: heart strings, soggy bottoms, and my wife’s old face

Only one barrel produced (just 270 bottles).

Made from only vines aged 50+ years old, which gives the wine depth and finesse. The grapes are intense in colour, phenolics and flavour, and reflect the deep roots of the vines and the cool climate of the Macedon Ranges.

We picked the grapes later in the season in 2023, to allow ripeness and balance the acid. We whole bunch fermented and pressed, and matured in 3 year old oak to give subtle and supple tannins, a delicate oak character; but also to let the fruit shine through.

Zig Zag Rd. Old Vine Pinot Noir is unique and rare, and this is a serious wine that has depth and complexity.
