Fresh, “crunchy” and serious! This is a wine epitomizing the cool climate of the Macedon Ranges, and needs love and care: it will age beautifully, or let it breath for a while before consuming.

Picked exclusively from low yielding, low density, 50 year old vines, the aromatics and mouth feel are a rare treat, unique to this tiny patch of land on Zig Zag Rd.

As with all our Estate wines, we made this to express freshness and delicate tannins through gentle maceration, low intervention, and seasoned oak barrels. It’s all about the fruit from old vines.

It has similar character to our last estate syrah – the 2019 – which was acclaimed by James Halliday and awarded 94 points.
