Autumn Festival’s Pie and Tart Trail comes to Zig Zag Rd

Drop in to the cellar door over any weekend in April to taste our French inspired offering in the Macedon Ranges Autumn Festivals Pie and Tart festival – the Beef Bourguignon.

We’ve partnered with local small scale beef producers Larder Mouse Farm, who grow low impact beef from their rare-breed British White cattle and are as passionate about regenerative farming as we are.

The juicy filling is slowly cooked with sweet onions, mushrooms, and bacon in a rich red wine sauce made from our estate Cabernet. Encased in buttery pastry, it’s a savoury delight that brings the flavours of France to our cellar door.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday during April from 12 – 5pm

Groups larger than six are asked to call ahead to reserve a table as there’s limited space on the verandah.

For those wanting to enjoy this delicacy at home, head to the Larder Mouse Farm shop in Newham to pick up a family sized Beef Bourguignon pie for dinner, and while you’re there support local and grab some fresh and delicious local regenerative beef.
